Positive Coaching Alliance | Webinar: Empowering women of color as coaches and leaders | w/ Dr. Carter-Francique's Resources

WEBINAR: Championing Diversity: Empowering Women of Color as Coaches and Leaders

Join Dr. Carter-Francique and other featured experts for the Positive Coaching Alliance Championing Diversity Webinar.

In celebration of Women's History Month, join us for a webinar that underscores the crucial role of engaging women of color in coaching and leadership positions within the youth sports community. Diverse representation is a key driver for BIPOC youth participation in sports, and for young girls, the presence of female role models is essential to encourage their continued involvement in sports through adolescence. This webinar will shine a light on the pivotal role that coach representation plays in motivating girls of color, highlight the historical and contemporary challenges that have impeded women of color from assuming coaching and leadership roles, and delve into effective strategies for attracting, recruiting, and supporting BIPOC women entering these spaces. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the obstacles and opportunities in diversifying sports teams and Youth Sports Organizations and will be equipped with actionable steps to initiate real change in the leaders that young girls can look up to.
